Hi! MaryMargaret here.  I am the founder of the Kids Are Heroes web site.  This site is designed to get your kids involved in philanthropy at an early age.  Read the stories about what other kids are doing and you will see how easy it is to make a difference.  There are many ideas on how you can get started.
 

My current project is called Music for Life.  I am saving money to buy as many MP3 players as I can so that I can give the gift of music to the kids at Children's Hospital in Washington, D.C.  When I was just 6 years old, I stayed in that hospital for ten days and I know how scary it can be. I am hoping that music will calm kids' fears when they have to have those tests and procedures done.  See how much I have raised and learn more about it here.

Come to Kids Are Heroes Day 2009 at the FSK Mall in Frederick.  Festivities will be from 10A-4P.  All the kids from the web site are invited to participate.  Come meet the wonderful children from the site and congratulate them!
